??: Germany - For the first time in European radio history, a station is jammed. In this case it was Soviet Komintern Radio in German.

March

??: Germany - The Werag transmitters in Köln and Aachen are closed.

September

??: UK - Opening of the Westerglen transmitting station near Falkirk, Scotland

October

20: Germany - Station Wiederau, the former Sender Leipzig, starts broadcasting with 120 kW on 770 kHz. It is the most powerful transmitter at the time.
28: Germany - In Frankfurt a new 17 kW transmitter went on air. The frequency was switched with Leipzig, so Frankfurt now uses 1157 kHz.
