Lingua franca

Information: The term Lingua Franca is usually used for a language that is the trade language in a large geographical area among people who have no common language. The term is derived of Lingua Franca, a simplified medieval form of Italian, to which Spanish, French, Greek and Arabic terms were added so that trade people in the mediterranean could understand each other.
