Geographical use: Benin, Upper-Volta, Cameroun, in the middle of South Niger, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo and Chad

Information: Hausa used to be written with the Arabic alphabet, but is nowadays written with the Roman alphabet. It is the lingua franca in a large part of West Africa.
